About Our Products

Are your shirts made to order?

Yes. All Common Threads products are printed on demand after your order is placed. Each item is produced specifically for the customer.

Because of this made-to-order process, we do not accept returns or exchanges for incorrect size selection, change of mind, ordering the wrong color, or personal preference.


Why might my shirt look slightly different from the mockup?

We make every effort to display product colors and details accurately. However, minor variations may occur, including:

  • Slight color differences due to screen display settings

  • Print placement variations within normal production tolerance (approximately 1–2 cm)

  • Natural differences in fabric texture or garment dye

These variations are normal and do not constitute defects.


How do your shirts fit?

Our tees feature a modern retail fit with a slightly longer silhouette compared to traditional boxy cuts.

Please review the size guide carefully before ordering to ensure the best fit.


Will the shirt shrink after washing?

Like most cotton garments, minimal shrinkage may occur after the first wash. In testing, shrinkage is typically around 2%, though manufacturers note it may be up to approximately 5%.

To maintain fit and quality:

  • Wash cold (max 30°C / 90°F)

  • Tumble dry low or hang dry


What blanks do you use?

Most designs are printed on Bella+Canvas 3001 garments, known for their soft Airlume combed and ring-spun cotton and retail fit.

Fabric blends vary for heathered colors.


Shipping & Delivery

Where do you ship?

We ship worldwide, except for certain restricted regions. If a destination is unavailable, checkout will not allow the order to be completed.


Do you offer free shipping?

Yes.

Free shipping applies to:

  • United States

  • European Union

  • United Kingdom

  • Scandinavia

For all other regions, a flat shipping fee (typically $5 per item) applies.

To ensure correct rates and availability, please select the country that matches your shipping address using the country selector before adding items to your cart.

Choosing the wrong region may prevent checkout or affect shipping fees.


How long does shipping take?

All products are made to order.

Production time:
3–7 business days

Estimated delivery after production:

  • United States: 5–10 business days

  • EU & UK: 5–15 business days

  • International: 10–30 business days

Delivery times are estimates and may vary due to carrier delays, customs processing, holidays, or peak seasons.


Will my order arrive in multiple packages?

Possibly. Orders may ship from different production facilities depending on availability and destination. Split shipments do not incur additional fees.


Why does my package show a different sender name?

Orders are fulfilled and shipped by our trusted production partners. As a result, the return address or sender name on your package may reflect the fulfillment provider (such as Shirt Monkey or Underground Threads) rather than Common Threads.

This is normal and does not affect your order.


Do you offer express shipping?

No. All orders are shipped via standard shipping only.


Who pays customs duties or import taxes?

Customers outside the US, EU, and UK may be responsible for customs duties, VAT, or import taxes imposed by their country. These charges are not included in the product price and must be paid by the recipient.


Returns, Refunds & Issues

Can I return or exchange my shirt?

Because each item is made to order, we do not accept returns or exchanges for:

  • Incorrect size selection

  • Change of mind

  • Ordering the wrong color or variant

  • Personal preference

Please review sizing and product details carefully before ordering.


What if my item arrives damaged, defective, or incorrect?

If you receive:

  • A damaged item

  • A defective item

  • A printing error

  • The wrong product

You must contact us within 7 days of confirmed delivery at:

Please include:

  • Your order number

  • Clear photos of the item and the issue

  • A brief description of the problem

If the issue is confirmed, we will provide a replacement at no additional cost. If a replacement is not possible, we may offer store credit or a refund.


Can I cancel my order?

Orders may be canceled within 2 hours of purchase. After this time, production may have begun and cancellation may no longer be possible.

Cancellation requests are not guaranteed after the 2-hour window.


What if my package is lost or stolen?

If tracking has not updated for more than 14 business days, contact us so we can investigate with the carrier.

If tracking shows delivered to the correct address provided at checkout, we are not responsible for lost or stolen packages after delivery confirmation.

Please ensure your shipping address is accurate before placing your order.


Legal & Consumer Rights

Do EU & UK customers have a 14-day right of withdrawal?

Under EU and UK consumer protection law, the 14-day right of withdrawal does not apply to goods made to the consumer’s specifications or clearly personalized.

Because all Common Threads products are printed on demand after purchase, they are considered made-to-order goods and are exempt from this withdrawal right.

This does not affect your right to receive a replacement or refund for defective or incorrect items.
