Made-to-Order Products

All Common Threads products are printed on demand specifically after an order is placed.

Because each item is produced individually for the customer, we do not accept returns or exchanges for:

  • Incorrect size selection

  • Change of mind

  • Personal preference

  • Ordering the wrong color or variant

  • Minor variations in print placement, color tone, or garment texture that naturally occur during production

Minor variations may include:

  • Slight differences between on-screen mockups and the final printed product

  • Color variations due to screen display settings

  • Print placement deviations within a reasonable production tolerance (typically within 1–2 cm)

  • Natural variations in fabric texture or garment dye

These do not constitute defects.

Due to the nature of garment printing, small variations in color, texture, or tiny unprinted dots may occasionally occur. These minor variations are considered normal and do not affect the overall appearance or quality of the design.

If a print defect is significant or clearly affects the design, please contact us and we will be happy to review the issue.

Damaged, Defective, or Incorrect Items

If you receive:

  • A defective item

  • A damaged item

  • An item with a printing error

  • An item different from what you ordered

You must contact us within 7 days of confirmed delivery at:

Please include:

  • Your order number

  • Clear photos of the item and the issue

  • A brief description of the problem

We aim to respond to claims within 2 business days.

If the issue is confirmed, we will provide a replacement at no additional cost.

If a return is required, we will provide instructions and cover reasonable return shipping costs where applicable.

In certain situations — such as when a product is discontinued, unavailable, or a replacement cannot be produced — we may offer store credit or a refund.

Refunds are issued only if a replacement is not possible or appropriate.

Items that have been worn, washed, altered, or damaged after delivery are not eligible for replacement or refund.

We reserve the right to refuse claims in cases of suspected misuse, abuse, or fraud.


Order Cancellations

Orders may be cancelled within 2 hours of purchase.

After this time, production may have begun and cancellation may no longer be possible due to the made-to-order nature of our products.

Cancellation requests are not guaranteed after the 2-hour window.


Lost, Delayed, or Stolen Packages

If a package is lost in transit, please contact us so we can investigate with the carrier.

If tracking shows that a package was delivered to the correct address provided at checkout, we are not responsible for lost or stolen packages after delivery confirmation.

We recommend checking with neighbors, your building management (if applicable), or your local postal office. You may also consider filing a claim directly with the carrier. If available in your region, purchasing shipping insurance may provide additional protection in cases where a package shows as delivered but cannot be located.


Shipping

We offer free shipping within the United States, European Union, and United Kingdom on qualifying orders.

For certain other regions, a flat shipping fee may apply at checkout.

Delivery times are estimates and may vary depending on destination, carrier performance, production volume, and customs procedures where applicable.

Customers are responsible for any customs duties, VAT, taxes, or import fees imposed by their country.

Production location is determined based on delivery address and product availability.

EU & UK Consumer Rights

If your order is delivered within the European Union or the United Kingdom, you generally have the right to cancel your purchase within 14 days of delivery under applicable consumer protection laws.

However, this right does not apply to goods that are made to the consumer’s specifications or clearly personalized.

Because all Common Threads products are printed on demand specifically after an order is placed, they are considered made-to-order goods and are therefore exempt from the 14-day right of withdrawal under applicable EU and UK consumer protection laws.

This does not affect your right to receive a replacement or refund in the case of defective, damaged, or incorrect items.


Refund Processing

If a refund is approved, it will be issued to the original payment method within 10 business days.

Processing times may vary depending on your bank or payment provider.

Original shipping fees (if any) are non-refundable unless the return is due to our error or a confirmed defect.
